The terms governing your use of CredoPay's platform and services.
Agreement
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of CredoPay's payment infrastructure platform and services, operated by TransTrac Technology Services Private Limited ("CredoPay", "we", "us"). By registering for or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
Definitions
- Acquiring Bank: A financial institution that processes payment transactions on behalf of merchants
- API: Application Programming Interface used to connect to CredoPay's payment infrastructure
- Platform: The CenterFirst payment infrastructure platform and related services
- Transaction: Any payment instruction initiated through CredoPay's infrastructure
- User: Any authorised representative of a business entity using CredoPay's services
Registration and Account
Access to CredoPay's platform requires registration with valid business credentials including company registration documents, authorised signatory details, and relevant banking information. Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials and for all activity conducted under their account.
Permitted Use
CredoPay's platform is provided exclusively for legitimate business payment transactions. Users agree not to use the platform for unlawful, fraudulent, or prohibited activities. A full list of prohibited transaction types is detailed in the Prohibited Items schedule below.
Subscription and Fees
Access to CredoPay's platform is provided under a subscription model with fees as agreed in your service agreement. Fees paid are non-refundable except as specified in your individual service contract. CredoPay reserves the right to modify fees with appropriate notice.
Transaction Processing
CredoPay will process transactions in accordance with applicable payment scheme rules and regulations. Processing times may vary based on scheme requirements, bank processing windows, and regulatory requirements in each jurisdiction.
Refunds
Transaction refunds are subject to scheme rules and the terms of your merchant agreement. Where a refund is requested before merchant settlement, CredoPay will process the reversal after deducting applicable interchange and processing fees. Post-settlement refunds must be resolved between the merchant and their customers in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws.
Intellectual Property
All platform content, technology, trademarks, and intellectual property associated with CredoPay and CenterFirst are owned by or licensed to TransTrac Technology Services Private Limited. Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the platform without prior written consent.
Data Security and Compliance
CredoPay maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 certification and implements industry-standard security practices. Users are responsible for maintaining the security of their integration credentials and ensuring their own systems meet applicable security standards.
Limitation of Liability
CredoPay's aggregate liability under these Terms shall not exceed the fees paid by the user in the three months preceding the claim. CredoPay is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Services are provided "as is and as available" without warranties of uninterrupted availability.
Termination
Either party may terminate the service agreement with written notice as specified in the individual service contract. CredoPay may immediately suspend access if there is reasonable suspicion of fraudulent activity, regulatory breach, or material violation of these Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Prohibited Items
The following transaction categories are prohibited on CredoPay's platform:
- Illegal goods, services, or activities under applicable law
- Gambling or betting services without appropriate licensing
- Counterfeit goods or intellectual property infringement
- Adult content or services without appropriate licensing
- Controlled substances or prescription medications without authorisation
- Firearms, weapons, or related accessories without appropriate licensing
- Any transactions that facilitate financial crime, money laundering, or terrorist financing
Modifications
CredoPay reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
